Massimo Mele was born in Tasmania, but spent his early childhood in Naples. Following in the steps of his Italian heritage, Massimo has devoted his life to sharing his love of food with the world. This passion has led his work at highly acclaimed eateries, food festivals and events in Australia and abroad. Most recently, he has stepped into the role of Food Director at Grain of the Silos and Peppina, where he champions local and seasonal produce.

From television projects like The Chef’s Garden to festivals such as TrailGraze, Massimo continues to shine a light on Tasmanian growers, makers and the stories behind the ingredients he cooks with every day.
